Access through the garden matters
A stump behind a fence in Takapuna may be close to paving, while one beside a Kaipātiki bush boundary may sit among roots you want to retain. Show the surrounding ground and nearby living trees, not just the cut surface.
Measure the narrowest passage from the street and include turns, steps and retaining walls. A gate width alone does not establish access. Will stump grinding remove roots under my North Shore driveway?
It does not remove the entire root system. Point out the roots and paving when enquiring so the work can be assessed. Grinding a stump and repairing or preparing a driveway are different scopes.
